MORE ABOUT VEDASHREE
Vedashree is the Co-Founder of TwoDo Creative Studio and enjoys working in the content creation and marketing space for brands in India and abroad.
She took her first shot at creative writing at the age of four. After taking massive career leaps from being a Planning Engineer in Pune to a Sales Manager in Goa to a Copywriter in Mumbai, Vedashree finally found solace in founding a remote creative agency that does not tie her to a single city.
From getting acclaimed for her short fictions like “Starring Sudha” to creating ideas that made it to a Cannes Young Lions Shortlist, Vedashree’s story has always been about crafting worthwhile stories.
Her endless voyages and all the while observing the human behaviour also led to a collection of over 200 “Minute Stories”, as she calls them. This novel comes from the same love for the complex human mind that makes every life’s story completely different and yet equally special.
Home is a word that should invoke the warmest of feelings. But is it so for everyone around? This story is dedicated to those houses that could never turn into "homes" for the people living in them.
Lights Out takes you into the life of Meera as her mind constantly jumps to her childhood, returning to her present every now and then. Not just is it relatable, this short story is sure to strike a chord of realisation by the end.
Being what you are, though should be the simplest thing to be, is in fact the hardest. And especially so for communities that are not openly accepted. 'Starring Sudha' is an attempt to look at a person differently, beyond their outer appearances.
